چکیده
velop in the proximal end of injured nerves, and reflect repair of the distal segment (1). The most common location of traumatic neuromas is the lower extremities, followed by the head and neck. Traumatic neuromas arising in post-operative scars after cancer surgery can mimic recurrent lymph nodes or local tumor recurrence. Traumatic neuromas occurring in the chest wall after modified radical mastectomy (MRM) are very rare. We present a case of a traumatic neuroma identified incidentally on follow-up ultrasound (US) examination after breast cancer surgery. Case Report

Traumatic neuroma in a patient with breast cancer after mastectomy: a case report and review of the literature
The incidence of traumatic neuroma is extremely low, especially in those patients with breast cancer after mastectomy. There are only 10 cases reported in the literature. We report a patient who developed a palpable nodular mass near the mastectomy scar. The result of excisional biopsy was traumatic neuroma. Review of the literature reveal 10 cases with breast cancer of traumatic neuromas after...

متن کاملStewart-Treves Syndrome after Bilateral Mastectomy and Radiotherapy for Breast Carcinoma: Case Report.
Stewart-Treves syndrome is an angiosarcoma that occurs because of chronic lymphedema, which in most cases is a complication after mastectomy with axillary node dissection and postoperative radiation. Prognosis for this rare tumor is poor. The best therapy is early and radical excision. Chronic lymphedema seems to be an important pathogenic factor. We report a 59-year-old patient with chronic ly...
متن کاملRecurrent invasive lobular carcinoma presenting as a ruptured breast implant
BACKGROUND For years, the treatment for invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) has been mastectomy secondary to the lack of studies investigating the efficacy of breast conservation therapy on patients afflicted with ILC and due to the lack of long-term follow up investigating locoregional recurrence in this patient population. In this article we report the clinical course of a patient diagnosed with...
